People buy all kinds of knick-knacks, jewelry, things that will make you fat candy and chocolate, things that will die flowers. And while it’s the thought that counts, why not do something a little different this year.

Are you like me? Do you wait until the last minute to get things done for the holidays and then feel inadequate that you didn’t get it all accomplished? Last year I took this great photo of my son and didn’t get cards out until it was pretty much past Christmas, and even at that many didn’t get sent. This year, I swear I’m putting up my tree in November, whether my husband likes it or not, so I can do things like take pictures of the kids, and have one less thing to worry about in December. So if you’re walking down the street and you hear a rendition of “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree” and you look around and the leaves are still falling off the trees, don’t worry. You’re probably just in my neighbourhood.
