Belly Session with the High Park Sakura Blooms

This year, I managed to squeeze in some High Park Cherry Blossom sessions between a couple of births in early May.
This lovely family reminded me so much of my own.
Mr. Max’s personality even had me thinking of my son!

It was so fun to photograph them while they waited for their latest addition.

Maternity with a touch of glam

Some of us radiate when we’re pregnant. We feel amazing, look amazing, and just embrace the whole pregnancy vibe.
Giselle is one of those ladies who just looked amazing as an expectant mama.

Just for fun though we added a bit of extra glam to her session by including professional hair and makeup application.
Who wouldn’t want to remember their pregnancy like this?

Kaitlin became a client through a new partnership I have with Bebo Mia, a local doula group that is in two words “beyond awesome”. I met her at their Yummy Mummy Mocktail mixer.

Her gorgeous smile and sweet personality had me pumped to be capturing her and her fiancé in their Toronto home as they await the arrival of their baby.

Boy or girl? They’re not 100% sure, although they are leaning toward boy.

Either way, one thing is for sure this cute family-to-be will share a lot of laughs as Jarod cracked jokes the whole time, and Kaitlin laughed at all of them!

Their little nest is already filled with so many smiles, baby is sure to only add to their joy!

Calm. I didn’t think birth could be so calm.

Doula gently stroking mama’s skin.

Dad whispering words of encouragement to the mother of his second child.

Midwives smiling as they greeted this new life.

Birth photographer loving every second.

Awesome.

The day you are born– that is your birthday. Your parents took you in their arms and held you. They cradled your tiny head, counted your fingers and toes. They kissed your soft hair.

Birthdays when they are real, live, right as it happens birthdays are pure magic. They are what birth photography is all about

I was lucky enough to be here for this little girl’s birthday.

After a relatively short but intense labour, baby C was ushered into mama’s arms.

Do you remember looking into your baby’s eyes the first time. This mama might not remember this moment, but now she has it captured, forever.

“Thank you Carrie for being there and being so great I can’t wait to see more pics…I am more than positive they are going to be awesome.
As much as I knew you were there, I didn’t (which is great when you hate having your picture taken). You’re awesome! Thanks again.”
